Is this event open to the public?

This event is by invitation only. But it’s easy to get an invite. In fact, if you’ve found this website, you’re automatically invited. Just click on the Registration tab and you will go to the online registration.

What is the registration cut-off date?

Registration is open until August 28th. With your registration you will receive access to a plethora of delicious Egg cuisine. You may also buy tickets at the door for $14.00 per person.

Speaking of t-shirts, I’d like to get a couple extra. How do I order extras?

There is an option to order more shirts on the registration site, please get your order for extra shirts in soon as it helps us when we order them. We will be accepting orders for extra shirts until August 1st.

How do I find you once I get to Sullivan Hardware & Garden?

It’s really easy. We’re going to be setting up in the north parking lot. We will have signs and people showing you where to park.

What’s the parking situation at Sullivan Hardware & Garden?

We have plenty of free on-site and off-site parking available for you.

Can I bring my kids?

Sure! Kids are very welcome as long as they have parent or adult supervision.

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, we are not going to allow pets at the Eggfest due to the amount of people and food that will be present.

I know you’ve mentioned you’re providing water and soft drinks. What about alcoholic drinks?

We will be providing Sun King Brewery’s local beer for purchase. Just remember to drink responsibly and not to drink and drive.

Are there any hotels nearby?

There sure are,  (We will be getting a group rate for Eggheads, as well as a list of the choice hotels. Please check back later for details.)

What’s a “Demo Egg” and how do I get one?

A demo Egg is an Egg that you pre-buy prior to the Eggfest. The Egg will be cooked on the day of the Eggfest by one of our registered cooks and then you will pick it up at the end of the day (3:30pm – 5:30pm). This is a great way to get your first Egg or to add to your Egg family, as these Eggs are sold at a fantastic discount.

You won’t believe this, but I’ve still got more questions!

Just e-mail Staraya Mckinstry at staraya@chefjjs.com and hopefully she’ll have answers you seek!

I‘m cooking! Can I bring my own Egg?

Absolutely! We’ll have people there to help you unload your egg and get it to your cooking table. Ditto at the end of the day. Just be aware that you may be transporting your Egg home while it’s still warm, so plan accordingly.

How long do I have to cook?

The Lighting of the Eggs usually starts around 9:00am and the Fest is over at 3pm. If you are cooking on a Demo Egg, it would be great if you could shoot to finish and shut the Egg around 2 or 2:30pm. Demo Eggs are being picked up from 3:30-5:30pm and its nice to let the Eggs cool down before they are handled.

I want to cook, but I can’t bring my own Egg. Now what?

We got you covered! We have 50 demo Eggs available for you to cook on. All you have to do is choose the “griller” option when you register for the Eggfest.

Wow, you guys are great! So what do the cooks need to bring then?

We will provide cooks with Large Big Green Eggs, plate setter (if needed), lump charcoal, fire starters, tables, soft drinks, and water.

Cooks will be provided with food products and supplies. The following is a list of items cooks may want to bring along, if necessary, for their dish:
